Your support of the capital campaign "Fulfilling Dreams" will help Youthville continue Giving Children Back Their Childhood.
In September 2009 Youthville announced the official kick off of a $1.2 million capital campaign, "Fulfilling Dreams," to fund a new centralized kitchen and dining space, a FEMA-standard storm shelter, additional classrooms and office areas for the Dodge City Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility.
The new addition is so important to the Dodge City campus because Youthville has outgrown the current classroom capacity, does not have a Fema-standard storm shelter, and youth currently transfer food by wagon to various cottage dining areas to meet federal regulations.
The new space will allow the children to have more time for needed therapy, have a safe place for storms and provide less tension because of crowded classrooms. The total cost of this project is $1.5 million and includes a $303,800 federal fund line item appropriation supported by Congressman Jerry Moran and U.S. Senator Pat Roberts for the kitchen/dining area and storm shelter.
