Kansas Family Advisory Network is a non-adversarial; non-profit network of family partners, organizations, groups and agencies who have joined together in collaboration to promote and advance safety, permanency, and well-being for children and their families involved with, or at risk of becoming involved with the child welfare system. Dad's Dare to Care Support Group is a father focused, father lead group dedicated to providing support and mentorship to dads navigating the child welfare system. The group meets twice a month and fathers are recommended to the group by Youthville permanency teams.
Strengthening Families Program is the first research-based parenting program designed specifically for families with parents who struggle with alcohol and drug abuse. The program consists of three skill based training courses; Parenting, Children's Life Skills and Family Skills. Strengthening Families Program teaches parents and kids how to deal with problems so that parents can keep their kids safe, seeks to keep families together and reunify families whose kids have been placed out of the home. Strengthening Families Program has been given exemplary designation, as well as model program status by the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
Youthville believes that our clients, client representatives, families, volunteers, relatives and colleagues have the right to have their concerns listened to in a respectful and timely manner. The expression of a complaint or grievance will in no way compromise or interfere with the services and care provided to the client, family, relative, volunteer, etc. All complaints or grievances will be taken seriously, addressed, and the staff involved will document any steps taken. When a grievance occurs involving another organization, Youthville staff will work with their respective counterpart at the other organization to resolve the grievance.
