All foster parents must go through a 10-week training course called, Partnering for Safety and Permanence- Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting, before becoming licensed. After prospective foster parents become licensed foster parents, the training doesn't stop. Youthville regularly offers ongoing training to foster parents. This is in addition to monthly foster parent support meetings across the state.
