In order to keep families together and to help rebuild families, Youthville offers Chemical Dependency Treatment serving adolescents and adults with addiction to mind altering substances. These addictive substances may include alcohol, marijuana, methamphetamines, cocaine, inhalants, over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, and more. The program offers assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and education.
Youthville primarily uses two treatment approaches to address addiction. One is a dual diagnosis approach which treats addiction in conjunction with other behaviors that may be diagnosed as a mental health disorder. The second approach is the traditional method using support groups. The program prioritizes treatment as individual, family therapy, and group therapy for each individual treatment plan. There is a strong emphasis on anger, self-esteem, grief/loss, relapse prevention, and stress that may trigger addiction.
