Youthville's Sexual Aggressive Treatment Program (SATP) is a 12-bed program, serving males between the ages of 13 and 18. The program treats youth who have had a history of sexual abuse toward others.
The primary goal of this program is to reduce the clients' risk of re-offending and to have each adolescent understand and control their sexually deviant behavior.
The program is structured with a highly therapeutic environment designed to provide corrective living experiences, as well as activities of daily living groups. Timeout and seclusion are also included in this therapeutic environment.
Participants of the program are supervised closely to minimize the possibility of any inappropriate sexual aggressive behavior. Cameras monitor all areas except bathrooms and individual rooms.
The program utilizes the books, "Pathways with 12 steps of Prevention" and "Relapse Prevention Workbook" in addition to intensive individual, group, and family therapy. Discharge and aftercare planning are also important aspects of this program.
